Create your own rug from start to finish. No previous tufting or drawing experience is required — our crew will guide you through every step.

1. Choose Your Workshop

Select your preferred workshop based on:

• Finished rug size

• Number of participants

• Workshop duration

• Price

Each workshop package is for one participant and one artwork.

2. Book Your Session

Choose an available date and time through our online booking system.

Your booking will be confirmed once full payment has been received.

Please make sure you select the correct package, date and number of participants before completing your booking.

3. Select Your Design

Choose a simple design with:

• Clear outlines

• Larger shapes

• Fewer colours

• Minimal small details

Simple designs are easier to complete within the allocated workshop time.

Avoid highly realistic images, complicated lettering, thin lines or designs with too many small sections.

Please refer to our Design Guide before selecting your artwork.

4. Submit Your Design

Send your preferred design to us through Instagram at @Tufting_Nuts at least 3 days before your workshop.

Our crew will review the design and advise whether it is suitable for your selected rug size and workshop duration.

If the design is too complicated, you may be asked to simplify it or select another design.

Please note that we provide design suitability advice only. Illustration, logo creation and custom design services are not included.

5. Trace Your Artwork

During the workshop, we will project your approved design onto the tufting cloth.

You will trace the main outlines before starting the tufting process, so you do not need to draw the design freehand.

6. Learn How to Tuft

Our crew will introduce the equipment and demonstrate:

• How to use the tufting gun

• How to follow the outline

• How to fill each colour section

• How to control the direction of the yarn

• Basic workshop safety

This is a hands-on workshop. Each participant is expected to operate the equipment and complete their own artwork with guidance from our crew.

7. Create Your Rug

Start tufting your design one section at a time.

Our crew will be available to guide you throughout the session, but the final result will be created by you.

Please follow the crew’s instructions and recommended tufting order to help you complete the artwork within the scheduled time.

8. Finishing Process

Once the tufting is completed, your rug will go through the required finishing process.

Depending on the selected package, this may include:

• Securing the yarn

• Applying adhesive

• Cutting the rug from the frame

• Trimming and shaping

• Attaching the backing

Some finishing work will be completed by our crew after the workshop.

Your rug may not be ready to take home immediately.

9. Collection or Delivery

We will contact you when your rug is ready for collection.

Self-collection from our studio is the default option.

Delivery within Malaysia or Singapore may be arranged for an additional fee.

Please wait for our collection notification before visiting the studio.

Before Your Workshop

Please remember to:

• Submit your design at least 3 days in advance

• Wear comfortable clothing

• Tie up long hair

• Arrive on time

• Follow all safety instructions

• Select a design suitable for your workshop package

Late arrival will reduce your available workshop time, as sessions cannot be extended automatically.

Unable to Finish on Time?

Additional time may be purchased at:

RM25 per 30 minutes

Extensions are subject to workshop and crew availability.

When an extension is unavailable, the workshop will end at the scheduled time and the artwork may remain semi-finished.
